Lead Funnel — visualize your pipeline from first touch to close

The CooVex Lead Funnel shows exactly where leads enter, where they drop off, and how long they spend in each stage — with AI recommendations to improve conversion.

The Lead Funnel is a visual pipeline view that shows every stage of your sales process — from a new lead entering your system to a deal being won or lost. It tells you not just how many leads you have at each stage, but where leads drop off, how long they stay in each stage, and what you can do about it.

This is different from the basic lead list. The funnel view is designed to help you diagnose and improve your conversion rate — not just track contacts.

The default pipeline stages

CooVex uses a standard 6-stage pipeline that matches most B2B and B2C sales processes:

  1. New — lead has been added but not yet contacted
  2. Contacted — first outreach has been made
  3. Qualified — lead confirmed as a real prospect worth pursuing
  4. Proposal — a proposal or quote has been sent
  5. Negotiation — active back-and-forth on terms or pricing
  6. Won / Lost — deal closed in either direction

You can rename stages and add custom stages in Settings → Pipeline.

What the funnel view shows

For each stage, the funnel shows:

  • Count — number of leads currently in this stage
  • Value — estimated deal value if you have deal values attached to leads
  • Conversion rate — percentage of leads that move from this stage to the next vs. those that drop out
  • Average time in stage — how long leads typically stay before moving or being lost
  • Stuck leads — leads that have been in this stage longer than the average, highlighted in yellow/red

Identifying your biggest conversion leak

The funnel makes it immediately visible where your biggest drop-off is. In a typical B2B pipeline, the most common leak points are:

  • New → Contacted: Leads being added but never followed up on. Fix: set up a Smart Alert for leads sitting in New for more than 24 hours.
  • Contacted → Qualified: Low qualification rate. Fix: improve outreach messaging or use the Lead Finder to target better-fit prospects.
  • Proposal → Won: Proposals not closing. Fix: review your proposal content with the AI Coach, or activate the AI Proposals feature for personalized, high-converting proposals.

The AI Coach can help you diagnose your specific leak: ask “Where is our biggest drop-off in the funnel and what should I do about it?”

Moving leads through the funnel

From the Funnel view, you can drag and drop leads between stages. You can also move multiple leads at once using the bulk action selector. Each stage change is timestamped and logged, so the velocity metrics stay accurate.

Funnel filters

Filter the funnel by:

  • Time period — view leads that entered in the last 30, 60, or 90 days
  • Lead source — isolate leads from specific channels (chatbot, import, cold finder, manual)
  • AI score range — see only high-score leads in the funnel
  • Team member — see the funnel for leads assigned to a specific person
